The Swerdlow Group has obtained a $30 million construction and permanent loan facility for the Shoppes at Civica development in Miami’s Health District.

Sabadell United Bank provided Swerdlow with the financing, South Florida Citybizlist reported. Plans for the two-story Shoppes at Civica include 50,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space at 1050 Northwest 14th Street. The developer has started demolishing an existing building on the 1.9-acre site and is expected to start vertical construction early next year.

Aztec Group senior managing director Howard Taft and director Charles Penan arranged the financing on behalf of Swerdlow. [Citybizlist]Eric Kalis
