Pegasus Florida and the Gulfstream Park Racing Association have proposed an expansion of the Stronach Group-owned park that would add condominiums, a hotel and an amusement park. The proposed new name would be Pegasus Park. The park now has a horse racing track, offices and some retail.

Hallandale Beach officials “are taking it seriously,” according to a city spokesperson.

The applicants would need approval of altering the park’s master plan to allow for five acres of additional development. [South Florida Business Journal]Mark Maurer
