Enrique Norten’s One Ocean breaks ground

Foundation work at Enrique Norten’s curvy glass One Ocean in South Beach began yesterday following last week’s issue of a construction permit, exMiami reported.

Related chairman and chief executive Jorge Pérez announced the luxe tower, at 91 Collins Ave. in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood, in October 2012, as The Real Deal reported.

One Ocean is slated to include 46, 3,000-square-foot units and four villas.

“One Ocean is my legacy for Miami Beach,” Pérez told TRD.

The developer brought together a number of artists and designers on the project, including Norten, Enzo Enea, Jose Bedia, Eugenio Cuttica, Michelle Oka Doner and Daniel Azouley.

Norten, a native of Mexico, is also designing the neighboring 321 Ocean on Ocean Drive on behalf of Aria Group. [exMiami]Emily Schmall
