The former Angler’s Boutique Resort in South Beach has been repositioned under the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand.

San Francisco-based Kimpton has taken over management of the 660 Washington Avenue hotel, Miami Herald reported. The 48-room hotel was constructed in 1931. A major renovation was completed six years ago.

Kimpton is overseeing an expansion of the hotel to include an 83-room building, rooftop pool and new lobby. Development firm LBL Group owns the hotel.

The hotel is the third operated by Kimpton in Miami-Dade County. The company also runs the Surfcomber on Collins Avenue and the Epic hotel in downtown Miami. [Miami Herald]Eric Kalis
