Music producer Timbaland is looking to cash in on the red-hot demand for spacious condos in Miami Beach’s coveted South of Fifth enclave, according to the seller’s broker, Oren Alexander of Douglas Elliman.
The three-bedroom unit at the Murano Grande, a luxury condo complex on Biscayne features Portuguese bush-hammered limestone columns, French limestone floors, quartz countertops and mother of pearl mosaics. It also has floor-to-ceiling windows with views of downtown Miami.
Timbaland, whose real name is Timothy Zachary Mosley, bought the condo in 2006 for $2.7 million and spent another $2 million renovating it with local developer Shlomy Alexander, whose single-family home at 3 Indian Creek in Miami Beach shattered records when it sold for $47 million last year.
A producer for Madonna, Jay Z and Justin Timberlake, Timbaland never lived in the condo, Alexander told the Wall Street Journal.
He “realized the demand for this size apartment fully renovated, and he would like to seize the opportunity” to sell, Alexander said. Timbaland declined the Journal’s request for comment. [WSJ] — Emily Schmall
