Three SoFla sites heading to foreclosure auctions

Gavel-new315-304 Three foreclosure judgments totaling about $18 million were recently awarded in cases involving South Florida properties.


In the largest judgment, a commercial mortgage-backed securities trust won $13.1 million in its foreclosure lawsuit filed against the owner of the Marketplace at Hillsboro in Coconut Creek, South Florida Business Journal reported. The 112,000-square-foot retail center is scheduled to be auctioned on Jan. 15. Tenants include Staples and Winn-Dixie.


Also headed for a January foreclosure auction is a Dania Beach mobile home park. First-Citizens Bank & Trust was awarded a $3.1 million foreclosure judgment. The sale of the 3.7-acre park at 945 South Federal Highway is scheduled on Jan. 16.


Lastly, Ocean Bank received a $2.1 million foreclosure judgment over a nearly 121-acre farm in Palm Beach County. The land is set to be auctioned off on Jan. 14. [South Florida Business Journal]Eric Kalis
