1501 Alton Road
Sabadell United Bank has signed a lease to take over a former Blockbuster store in Miami Beach.
The Miami-based subsidiary of Spanish banking giant Banco de Sabadell finalized a five-year lease for 4,200 square feet of 1501 Alton Road, South Florida Business Journal reported. The owner of the Art Deco-style building is BB Partners. Sabadell plans to relocate the branch from 1688 Meridian Avenue.
A bank spokesperson said Sabadell is handling interior renovations and the installation of company signage. The bank hopes to open the branch in May or June. [South Florida Business Journal] — Eric Kalis
