St. Louis Rams left tackle Jake Long, formerly of the Miami Dolphins, sold his six-bedroom villa in the built-to-order community of Hawks Landing in Plantation for $1.8 million.

Long purchased the 6,186-square-foot property at 631 Sweet Bay Avenue for $2.3 million in 2009, and therefore is taking a loss. Plantation-based Robinette Homes developed the community.

The buyer, Caspertina Corp., shares an address with a law office in Costa Rica. Long’s primary residence is a five-bedroom duplex just outside of St. Louis. [Daily Business Review]Mark Maurer
