Miami condo developer Ugo Colombo bought Brickell Flatiron Park from fellow developer Mallory Kauderer for $21 million.

The buyer’s CMC Group secured a $12.6 million mortgage from Suntrust Bank on the property at 1100 Southeast First Avenue in Miami, but it might be just for the northern half that the city had said can be developed. When the Raymond Jungles-designed park was built last September, Kauderer struck a deal with the city to make the then-temporary park a permanent one in exchange for extra land that would give him ownership of the full block. Kauderer’s goal was to develop the northern part of the park.

Before the downturn, architect Enrique Norten began the design on a proposed 70-story tower, a project that was later scrapped. [ExMiami]Mark Maurer
